Sunday Spin Beginner Pottery Wheel all inclusive experience. Instructor will provide a quick demo, then let get you dive into pottery and get your hands dirty. This is a crash course on the basics of pottery wheel, focus of this class will be learning to make a wheel thrown bowl or mug. Last 15-20 minutes devoted to clean up. This is really 2 classes in one day.
Then we ‘ll switch gears and learn how to glaze and finish art work. Includes premium stoneware clay, tool rental, materials plus premium glaze and kiln firing of your favorite art work. Project will be left at studio to dry & will be fired in a kiln. Expect finished work to be complete in about a month. Although we call it Sunday Spin, this does not have to scheduled on a Sunday.

Try it, Pottery Wheel Group Class

Our Try it Group Wheel Workshop, is a one day, 2 hour class. Teacher will give you a quick intro and demo for wheel throwing, then you try it. Materials, supplies, and clay are included, to borrow while in studio. Last 15-20 minutes of class is devoted to clean up. All students required to bring (1) hand towel you don't mind getting dirty to class. Like and Follow our facebook page to be alerted to when new classes are added.
No walk -ins. ** Registration required. **
Since the purpose of this class is to give students the experience, our expectation is that all pieces created during class will be deconstructed and clay recycled. If you are particularly pleased with your piece and instructor feels its structurally sound, to likely fire successfully you may opt to have your item fired for an additional fee .

Muddy Love, Private Date Night Pottery Wheel

Ignite the sparks of romance with our Beginner Date Night Pottery Class. This unique experience is designed to bring you and your partner together through the art of pottery. Our expert potter will guide you through the process of creating on the wheel, all while sharing laughs and creating memories. Everyone will have their own wheel to work on. Expect to work on the wheel 1st half of class, clean up and then we’ll learn how to glaze ( paint) to finish off your art work the last hour. Glaze & Firing package includes (1) item per person. Please call to schedule a date and time.

Private Spinning with Friends
2 hours
A one time ( 2 hours ) PRIVATE pottery wheel lesson can be scheduled with your friends, date night, or great as a Parent/ Child bonding time, or birthday celebration. Additional time can be schedule at a rate of $45. an hour. You'll have the entire studio and instructor reserved just for your group. Workshop includes demo, pottery tools, and wheel rental during class time. Last 15-20 minutes are devoted to clean up. Options to fire/glaze are available, for additional fee. Instructor will notify you when it's ready & you can schedule a time to come by to pick up.

Make a Mug Hand-building Clay Class
2.5 Hours
Imagine sipping your morning coffee, tea or hot chocolate from a hand built ceramic mug made by you! No experience necessary. We’ll cover a variety of techniques, using texture and glaze to learn how make & decorate your mug for your one of a kind piece. *Students can choose to design with a rainbow of glaze choices during the class OR pick one of 5 studio glazes for the instructor to apply later. Last 15-20 minute devoted to clean up.
What’s included: Instruction, clay, tools, glazes*, a kiln firing for your art work. The process from start to finish can take about 4 weeks and Instructor will notify you when your creations are ready.
Classes are small & limited to students age 12 & up. I look forward to sharing my love of pottery with you!

Onsite Paint Party

Let Urban Easel Art host your next mini party! Ideal for a small get together with just 4-6 people. Onsite mini paint parties are held in our Martinsburg Studio, are just $40. person, are great for a small get together with a few friends, or ladies night out. All art supplies and materials are included.
With Urban Easel you can take the stress out of planning for an event! All you have to do is provide any refreshments to accommodate your guests, and we do the rest – that includes setting up, cleaning up art materials and providing all the necessary art supplies.

Private Lessons
For private lessons, our instructors focus on challenging an artist's existing skills and taking them to a more advanced level, while introducing them to new techniques, materials and styles in fine art. We offer skills in drawing, acrylic painting, water color, oil pastels, Curriculum's are customized to build students skills and knowledge of art with their interests in mind. We customize a curriculum or area of focus where our art students will build confidence, see results and have a fun experience too. Private lesson pricing based on 1 student per session and includes all art supplies. These can take place weekly or just a one time deal. Just contact me to make an appointment. Select day and evening hours are available, in our Martinsburg studio. Private lessons are cash only and are due at time of service. These are only offered in Fall/ winter time.
